Leo is the Co-Founder and Principal of New-Firmus Inc. New-Firmus has a vast amount of experience in a large variety of formwork projects specializing in mid-rise to high-rise concrete structures. New-Firmus brings years of experience and provides flexible solutions to meet the needs of their customers in implementing some of the largest and highest profile projects in Alberta and Western Canada. New-Firmus’ portfolio of projects includes: The Concord in Calgary, Alberta; The Guardian Towers in Calgary, Alberta; Glenora Park Seniors Living and Apartments in Edmonton, Alberta; and the CNIB Tower in Edmonton, Alberta.

Michael oversees the management and strategic direction of the organization. He is actively involved in all aspects of real estate transactions; financing; partnership formation and structuring; and development projects. Michael has extensive experience in acquisitions, development and planning for mixed-use, high-rise commercial and residential development projects. With a distinguished 20+ year career in multi-family development, Michael has a history of positively impacting long-term success in an extremely strategic manner. He has been involved in the development of in excess of 40,000 multi-family residential units, hotels, community facilities and mixed-use developments. Michael has worked for reputable mixed-use residential development companies, and lectured with the Schulich School of Business at York University with a focus on Real Estate and Infrastructure. Michael holds a Bachelor of Law Degree from the University of Western Ontario as well as a Bachelor of Applied Arts from the School of Urban and Regional Planning at Ryerson University.

Sal is the Co-Founder and Principal of Newway Group. Newway Group is one of North America’s leading commercial, residential and civil builders focused on architecturally exposed concrete and complex concrete structures. Newway’s portfolio of projects includes: The Stantec Tower in Edmonton, Alberta; The Shangri-la Hotel and Residences in Vancouver, British Columbia; The Bow Tower in Calgary, Alberta; The Pinnacle Towers in San Diego, California; The Insignia Towers in Seattle, Washington; The Honua Kai Hotel in Maui, Hawaii; and the Lynden Pindling Airport in Nassau, Bahamas. In addition to his executive role at Newway Group, Sal has served on the Board or as an Advisor to numerous public companies in Canada and the United States.

Harry has a diverse background in cost accounting and financial reporting. Through his time working in public accounting, as well as in the agriculture industry, he has been able to obtain a well-rounded skill set. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary, and holds a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.

With over 10 years in management of multi-million-dollar residential projects in both Alberta and BC, Mr. Wood provides a breadth of experience and spearheads the day-to-day operations of our projects. Curtis was Vice Chair of the CCA’s Young Construction Leaders Committee and is actively involved in mentoring young construction professionals via the Emerging Constructors Network (ECN). He holds the following designations: Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.),  Gold Seal Certified- GC Project Manager (GSC), Certified Member of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (MCSCE) and LEED® Green Associate (LEED® GA).
